DEOMI DISTRIBUTED LEARNING GENERAL INFORMATION


DEOMI provides online modules which are available through the JKO Learning Management System (LMS).  An organization's action plan can include the opportunity to take these lessons to heighten awareness on these factors.  Lessons are designed for Department of Defense customers and are only available to Common Access Card (CAC) holders. 

Please see Lesson Descriptions for specifics for each topic.

These professional development lessons will give the individual an awareness about the topics listed in the tabs.  The lessons will give the user key knowledge that will help them improve their organization’s command climate, trust between team members, and team cohesion.

They are not to be confused with the formal pre-requisite lessons required by DEOMI for students that will be attending courses in-residence.

In order to complete the online lessons you must navigate to the JKO LMS at https://jkodirect.jten.mil/Atlas2/page/login/Login.jsf 

To access each of the Distributed Learning Online modules by searching the course catalog using the Prefix:  DEOMI.  Some lessons may be undergoing updates and may not be available at this time. 
 

INSTRUCTIONS TO PRINT YOUR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION:

You can PRINT YOUR OWN CERTIFICATE by following these instructions.

1. Go to the Learning Management System at https:///jkodirect.jten.mil

2. Log in with your CAC or Username and Password.

3. Click on the "Certificates" Tab at the top of the page.

4. You will see a list of your completed lessons here. You can either locate your lesson by simply scanning the list or selecting the appropriate prefix in the drop down list and selecting Apply Filters. Once you have located your lesson, click on the Certificate icon located in the far right column. You will be able to view and print your certificate from here.

JOB SATISFACTION (DEOMI-ATS-1041)

ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT (DEOMI-ATS-1400)


Lesson Objective

Know how organizational commitment can impact effectiveness. Upon completion of this lesson, you will be able to:

  • Define the concept and components of organizational commitment
  • Recognize the significance of organizational commitment
  • Recognize a leader's impact on organizational commitment
  • List strategies to promote organizational commitment

The Organizational Commitment lesson was designed for Department of Defense customers. This lesson covers basic components of organizational commitment to include the significance of a leader's impact on and recommends strategies to promote organizational commitment.

AGE DISCRIMINATION (DEOMI-ATS-2040)


Lesson Objective

Upon completion of this awareness lesson you will be able to:

  • Recall basic components of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. (ADEA)
  • Recognize Employment Policies and Practices outlined in the ADEA
  • Recall some areas of Age Discrimination that are protected
  • Outline strategies to overcome age discrimination in the workplace.

The Age Discrimination lesson is designed for Department of Defense customers. This course will help DoD civilians and Service members understand what may constitute age discrimination and suggest strategies to overcome it.
